The brief for the original piece was to take inspiration from a Parker with a pink hood. This made me look back at a childhood toy of a pink raccoon and the idea developed from there. I researched into raccoons, their habits, their habitats and came across a few videos of raccoons eating mushrooms. Raccoons generally eat anything but I have a history with mushrooms, collecting toadstools and having a fascination with fungi varieties. I have also previously created artwork around mushrooms and the psychedelic "shroom" and so the link was made.
The original piece in acrylic was then turned into a screen print to create two limited edition, hand printed back-patches.
This project was taken further by creating risographs. As well as being for sale, these where also part of #Freeartfriday.
